Ceilidh Dalton is a recent graduate of ANU and current artist in residence at The Wetlands and woodlands trust. Her practice is based around environmental art with a conservation focus. She loves to study an animal for months, watching how it moves and what makes it unique, then do a marathon single sculpting session in wax. The wax is then cast in metal and filed, chased and textured by hand to finish. Pewter is a new material for her and she loves the colour, the fine detail possible and the affordability.
